WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM STUDENTS' GRAMMATICAL ERRORS IN WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXTS

Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan tata bahasa yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menulis dari kelas 8 dan paling umum siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Peneliti memilih 4 latar belakang teks deskriptif sebagai sampel. Hasil menemukan lima jenis mahasiswa yaitu Article, Verb Tense, Singular/Plural, Noun, Preposition. Kesalahan Tense dengan 6 (40%). Berikutnya Singular/Plural (2,6%), Noun 3 (20%), Artikel 1 (6,6%), Preposisi (6,6%). Dengan analisis kesalahan, guru dapat memperbaiki penting harus diperbaiki, sehingga meningkatkan keterampilan Inggris.Kata kunci: Inggris, deskriptif, Abstract: This research was to find out the types of grammatical errors made by students in writing from 8th Junior High School Students and most common error students. The population this Students. used a sampling technique. researchers chose backgrounds text descriptive as sample. result found five kinds namely is an with next (2.6%), Article (6.6%), Preposition (6.6%).
